A restaurant POS that works offline: sales never stop

In Baku and in the regions alike, the internet tends to go at the worst moment, like eight o’clock on a Friday. With Dishment that doesn’t stop sales: the hub on your venue’s main computer takes over.

What it solves

  • № 01

The till goes down with the internet

A cloud-only POS won’t open without a connection. The room is full, waiters switch to paper, and payments are entered later from memory.

  • № 02

    Re-typing paper orders

After an outage, paper orders are keyed in one by one. Something always gets lost, something gets entered twice.

  • № 03

    A hole in the reports

Sales from the offline hours either never reach the report or get added by hand. The day’s total doesn’t match the cash in the drawer.

What it does

When the internet drops, orders, kitchen, payments and printing carry on

  • The hub, your own server on site

A small server program runs on the venue’s main Windows computer. Tablets, tills, kitchen screens and printers connect to it over the local network.

  • Orders and payments carry on

Without internet, tables still open, orders go through, checks close and payments are recorded.

  • Kitchen tickets on time

Orders reach the kitchen display and the station printer over the local network rather than via the cloud, so there is no lag.

  • Printing keeps working

Guest receipts, bills and kitchen tickets print on your thermal printers as usual.

  • Automatic sync

When the connection returns, every order, payment and shift goes up to the cloud by itself. You don’t re-enter anything, and nothing gets lost.

  • Connection status on screen

The till shows whether it can reach the hub and the cloud, and how many operations are waiting to be sent.

How it works

  1. 01

Download the installer from Back Office and install the hub on the venue’s main Windows computer.

  2. 02

Pair tablets, tills and kitchen screens with the hub on the same Wi-Fi network: the hub address and a 6-digit code.

  3. 03

Connect printers by USB or over the network and assign them to stations.

  4. 04

Get to work. If the internet drops and comes back, sync happens on its own.

№ 04Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • How long can I work without internet?

Day-to-day work runs inside the venue on the hub, so the till is fully usable offline. Whatever piles up goes to the cloud once the connection is back.

  • What does Back Office show during an outage?

The numbers as of the last sync. When the internet returns, the gap fills in by itself.

  • Does the hub need a powerful computer?

No dedicated server is needed. The ordinary Windows computer you already have at the venue will do. It just has to be on during opening hours and on the same network as the tablets.

  • So what is the internet for?

Setup, menu changes and checking reports from elsewhere. Daily sales don’t depend on it.
