Restaurant POS and management system

A restaurant runs a birthday table, two dining rooms, a hot line, a cold line and a bar all at once. Dishment keeps each order on one track, from the table to the kitchen and on to the check.

Familiar problems

  • № 01

    Big tables and courses

At a table of twelve, starters, mains and dessert each need to come out at the right moment. Keeping that rhythm on paper is hard.

  • № 02

Orders lost between floor and kitchen

The waiter wrote the order down but never got it to the kitchen. The guest waits, and the complaint lands on the manager.

  • № 03

    Stock that never adds up

Food cost for meat, oil and herbs is a guess, and stock is kept in a notebook. Nobody knows which dish actually makes money.

One working day

10:30

The chef checks the stock: anything running low is highlighted in red. This morning’s meat is received against the supplier’s invoice.

  1. 10:30: The chef checks the stock: anything running low is highlighted in red. This morning’s meat is received against the supplier’s invoice.
  2. 12:00: Waiters log in to their tablets with a PIN; every table on the floor plan is free. The cashier opens the shift.
  3. 13:40: Business lunch: orders go from the tablets straight to the kitchen display. A late ticket turns red, so the cook won’t miss it.
  4. 19:30: A birthday table: starters first, then lula kebab, then the cake. Each course reaches the kitchen on time, and the bill is split four ways.
  5. 21:15: The internet goes down. The dining room doesn’t notice: orders, tickets and payments carry on through the hub.
  6. 23:40: The day is closed: the Z report prints and the numbers are in Back Office. With Notifications on, the totals reach the owner on Telegram.

How it works with Dishment

  • Ordered on a tablet, straight to the kitchen

The waiter takes the order at the table and the ticket goes straight to the right station’s screen or printer.

  • Courses

Split the order into drinks, starters, mains and dessert, and fire each course on time.

  • Split checks, join tables

A big party pays in parts, or two tables become one. On the till that takes a few taps.

  • Tech cards and food cost

With the Warehouse module every sale deducts its ingredients, and you can see what each dish costs to make.

  • Works offline

When the internet drops, the dining room keeps going, because the hub sits inside the restaurant.

  • Schedules and payroll

With the Personnel module, waiters’ hours and their share of sales are worked out for you.
