Kitchen display (KDS): no paper tickets and no lost orders

The cook doesn’t wait for a paper ticket and the waiter doesn’t run to the kitchen. A fired order shows on the kitchen display at once, and when the food is ready, the waiter sees it on the tablet.

What it solves

  • № 01

    Lost tickets mean forgotten dishes

Paper tickets get greasy, fall off the rail and hide under others. A guest waits forty minutes for lula kebab, and it turns out the order never reached the kitchen.

  • № 02

No feel for the kitchen’s pace

The cook has to remember which order has waited longest and which just came in. At peak time the queue gets mixed up.

  • № 03

    Waiters running back and forth

To find out whether the food is ready, the waiter checks the kitchen ten times while the tables wait.

What it does

Orders reach the kitchen instantly: stations, timers, late tickets in red

  • Orders on screen instantly

The waiter taps Send to kitchen and the ticket appears on the right station’s screen with a sound and a flash.

  • Three lanes

Every ticket moves new → in progress → pass. Who is working on what is clear at a glance.

  • Timers and colours

Each ticket has its own timer. When the wait drags on, the ticket turns to a warning colour, then to late.

  • Station: screen, printer or both

The hot line, cold line and bar can each get a screen, a printer or both.

  • Recall a ticket

Bumped a ticket by mistake in the rush? Bring it back with one tap.

  • Ready status for the waiter

When the cook marks a ticket ready, the table on the waiter’s floor plan switches to “food ready”, so nobody has to go and check on the kitchen.

How it works

  1. 01

Create kitchen stations in Back Office and assign dishes to them.

  2. 02

Put any screen in the kitchen with a tablet or computer attached, and pair it with the hub as a kitchen display.

  3. 03

Choose for each station: screen, printer or both.

  4. 04

The waiter fires the order and the ticket shows on the screen right away.

№ 04Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need a special screen?

No. Any screen with an Android tablet or a computer attached will do. A large monitor on the kitchen wall works well.

  • Can I drop the printer completely?

You can, but you don’t have to. Some kitchens run on screens only, others also print the ticket. You choose per station.

  • Does the screen work without internet?

Yes. The kitchen display connects to the hub in your venue and receives orders over the local network.

  • How do dish names appear?

Exactly as written in your menu. Azerbaijani and Cyrillic letters show correctly both on screen and on paper.
