Fast food POS with order numbers and a kitchen display

In fast food the guest’s path is short: order, pay, get a number, watch the screen. The Dishment till, the kitchen display and the Ready screen in the dining room make it shorter still.

Familiar problems

  • № 01

    The lunchtime queue

One o’clock, ten people at the till. The cashier hunts for each item in a long list, and the queue reaches the door.

  • № 02

    Whose order is ready?

The cashier shouts a number, the guest doesn’t hear it, the döner goes cold, and the order goes to the wrong person.

  • № 03

The kitchen loses the order of tickets

Paper tickets hang side by side, and nobody can tell which came first.

One working day

10:00

The cashier opens the shift and the kitchen display is empty. Order numbers start over for the new day.

  1. 10:00: The cashier opens the shift and the kitchen display is empty. Order numbers start over for the new day.
  2. 12:50: The lunch wave. The cashier rings up the order in a few taps, the guest pays and gets a number.
  3. 13:05: Twelve tickets on the kitchen display. One turns to warning, then to late. The cook spots it and sends it out first.
  4. 13:07: On the dining-room screen, number 47 moves to Ready with a chime, and the guest picks up the tray.
  5. 18:30: In the evening most people take their food away; the cashier picks the order type in one tap.
  6. 23:00: The day is closed and the Z report prints. The report shows the best-selling items and combos.

How it works with Dishment

  • Counter mode

Built for the counter: big buttons, fast ordering, payment and a daily number on one screen.

  • Ready setups

The till has ready setups for fast food and food courts, so you don’t start from scratch.

  • Kitchen display

Orders drop onto the kitchen display at once, timers show what is late, and the order of tickets never gets lost.

  • A Ready screen

Two columns on a TV in the dining room: preparing and ready. When a number is ready, the screen plays a chime.

  • Eat in or take away

Each order is marked as eat-in or takeaway.

  • Combos and tech cards

With the Warehouse module each part of a combo deducts its ingredients: flatbread, fries, sauce.
