Telegram notifications and automation for restaurants

No, it is still in development. Notifications work today. Once the rules are ready, Automations will be switched on as a separate module.

Notifications tell you about every void, discount and refund above your amount. Picking out the suspicious ones — a void after the bill, a check reopened and changed, cash short at the till — is what Theft and loss control does; its alerts go to the same Telegram chats.

Nothing is lost. Sending stops, while the recipients and their choices are kept; switch the module back on and everything works as before. With Theft and loss control on, the Notifications section stays open but only loss control alerts go out — the page says so.

Yes: to a personal chat or a Telegram group (press Add to a group). Events, venues and thresholds are chosen separately for each recipient.

Yes. If the hub is silent for longer than the minutes you set, a message arrives, and another one follows when it is back.

Yes. Every message starts with the organisation’s and the venue’s name, so nothing gets mixed up. To unlink a chat, send /stop to the bot or remove the recipient in Back Office.

Yes, if you like. Want messages to come from your own bot with your own name? Paste a token from @BotFather into the optional “Your own bot” section. The token is stored encrypted.
